Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort

Colonial luxury at the Indian Ocean
Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort
Only three years ago Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort opened its doors, presenting itself as uncomparable as the south of Mauritius with its rugged mountains, white crested waterfalls, lakes and the secretely shimmering soil. Almost giving the impression of being taken back to the 19th century it reflects the charm of long gone days with its airy white colonial architecture, ceramic, stone and tile elements, large verandas and French windows. South African landscape architects designed a romantic area with local plants, bougainvilliers, hibiscus and tamarind trees between the sea and the course of the Citronnier River. 20 villas with each six or eight units are spread around in the centre like island hideaways and in the 158 rooms and suites traditional atmosphere meets modern technique without giving up the romantic touch. Brass lamps, cosy rattan chair, mosaics, four poster beds and free standing bath tubs are creating an idyllic, yet comfortable atmosphere and the turret corners with sea views, intimate little courtyards or terraces provide extra privacy - some of them are even with direct beach access. Very precious fabrics of linen, wild silk and fine cotton are shining in soft and warm colours.
A choice of five restaurants is available: The Gin`Ja at the beach, Le Palmier with Mediterranean cuisine, the Club House at the golf course, the Cavendish with large bar, the Château de Bel Ombre for romantic candlelight dinners and the Annabella’s with open show cooking. The motto “Tastes of Telfair” invites the guests to create and prepare together with the chef their own personal meal between classical copper pans and pots and some ingredients supplied by its own herbal garden.
The oasis of the resort, the Seven Colours Spa, is slightly tucked away and can be reached over a bridge. Asian atmosphere welcomes the guest with murmuring fountains and green gardens, where peacefully designed relaxation rooms awake all senses. In an area of 700 sqm nine treatment rooms are available with their own terraces, bathroom and outside shower, a relax area, saunas and hammam as well as a honeymoon spa suite with private pool.
The more active guest prefers snorkeling, windsurfing, sailing or books a diving course at the nearby coral reef. Tennis can be played day and night and a golf cart takes the guest to the Golf du Château. The perfectly equipped Kid’s Club with little kitchen, beds, toys and professional nanny takes care of children from 2 – 11 years of age.
A wonderful holiday in paradise lies ahead.
